I placed the order, few days later got my shipping confirmation. I was able to replace the old lamp with the new but for some reason it work so I had to return it back.. After they received the Lamp back they credit my Card back. I then have purchased a new Television.

Good product

The lamp works very well. The only thing that is missing when we received the package was the manufacturer’s installation guidelines.

Discount DLP TV Lamps

Do NOT! repeat Do NOT! purchase this projection lamp from Discount DLP TV Lamps.. After three days of use the first lamp I purchased literally blew (made a popping sound) which made me and my cat jump… I returned the lamp and received a second lamp. I’ve had this lamp in for approximately two weeks. The TV picture is not as bright as the original or even the second bulb that blew out. On two occasions while watching TV, the screen goes blank for about a minute then comes back on. According to the seller the warranty is only good for one replacement. The first lamp was packaged very well. It had Styrofoam around it in a box that had bubble wrap around it inside another box. The second lamp however simply had bubble wrap around the lamp inside a box… Neither package had “FRAGILE” written on it, so who knows what type of abuse these lamps went through during shipping. Now I’m stuck with an inferior lamp looking to purchase another one. Neither one of these lamps had the Phillips packaging so I’m not sure who the manufacturer is.

Problems with this item
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
As others have noted, this is NOT a Sony product.

You might as well buy a bare bulb, since the lamp is not in a carrier.

Putting the lamp in the carrier which you remove from your projection TV is 90% of the work.

Other problems:

no NEEDED hex wrench included

no directions of any kind

(I have placed an image of the lamp in its carrier in the images for this item so that you know what to look for.)

Sony Projection Replacement Bulb
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I searched several web sites to purchase this bulb. Amazon was the cheapest. Recieved the product as described within the shipping time indicated. Bulb was new and has worked very well. I am an avid recycler and was surprised to see a return label included in the shipment. I wasn’t sure if this was in case we had to return it because the return label had “reyccling” in the address. I went to the web site and was very impressed by the company’s dedication to recycling efforts. I called to make sure and off the old bulb went. I will always buy from this company if they sell the product I am looking for!
