Blew Up
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Easy to install. Worked fine for about a month of very limited usage, then the screen went blank – opened access door and found the bulb had blown up – pieces of glass difficult to remove. Hopefully nothing was damaged in the explosion.

So far, so good
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve only had the replacement lamp in my TV for one day now, but so far, so good.

My TV went out this past Saturday, and I ordered the part that afternoon, after reading the reviews, and added overnight shipping. The shipping estimate was Monday or Tuesday, and of course, I was hoping it would ship Monday. It certainly did, and arrived Tuesday, safely packaged, but no type of instructions (I wasn’t expecting any, but I figured I’d mention it). In less than ten minutes, I installed the new lamp, and the TV picture was there again.

The warranty says it’s for 180 days.. Obviously, I’m hoping it lasts for years like the original. If there’s any problems, I’ll post more, but again, the ordering, shipping, receiving, and pricing was as good as could be expected. No complaints.

Dicount DLP TV Lamps replacement bulb assembly
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This product came from Discount DLP TV Lamps. I would recommend being very cautious about purchasing from this company. The item was listed as a new part. It was not new at all. It was a remanufactured or reconditioned part which was clearly evident by the condition of the item. The mounting assembly was scuffed and marred and the bulb itself had scratches on the reflector. After the bulb was in my tv for a few days the reflector turned blue giving my tv a very blue dominant picture. I contacted the company about getting a new bulb instead of the rebuilt bulb since the listing stated it was a new bulb and the only response I received was that I could return the bulb. I feel this is poor customer service since I requested a new bulb be sent. I had already waited 7 days for the bulb, so I ordered a New replacement bulb from another company. I will say this, after returning the defective bulb and housing I received a full refund less shipping without any arguments or discussions. I recommend you buy a new bulb from a different company and install it in the housing yourself. This will save you a bunch of time spent waiting.

Perfect fit, EASY install
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Ordered Sony XL5200 Replacement Lamp from StoreFrontOutlet and received it in 3 days. Lamp is as described (e.g., in the housing) and is indistinguishable from the original pulled out of my KDS-60A2000 Sony TV (which literally exploded after only 2 yrs 4 mos of use).

The first bullet point under technical details reads “Brand New OEM compatible Lamp,” so I wasn’t expecting an actual Sony lamp. There were no stickers on the unit to indicate manufacturer, nor did any documentation accompany the unit. The Sony user manual (easily found online) shows how to make the exchange.

It only took 2 1/2 minutes to replace the lamp:

– 30 seconds to open box

– 1 minute to undo the two doors and pull out the old lamp

– 10 seconds to shoo away the curious cat

– 15 seconds to slide in the new unit

– 5 seconds to shoo the cat again

– 30 seconds to replace the two doors

Television is working again, picture is bright, very happy with the purchase and store.
